Advantages
of Online Therapy and Coaching
- Distance
is not a problem, with headphones, microphone, Skype
software, a fast internet connection and ideally a webcam, it
can be remarkably easy to see and speak to anyone anywhere
in the world in real time.
- Greater
choice. You are no longer limited to just the coaches,
therapists or therapies available in your area. You can now reach
out and connect with the best no-matter where you are in the world.
- Availability.
In certain areas of the world there may simply not be any therapists
available. If you cannot find a therapist in your local area,
then online therapy can offer a convenient solution to this problem.
- You
can receive coaching and therapy from the comfort, safety
and privacy of your own home.
- Online
therapy and coaching is suitable for people who would feel uncomfortable
with or are unable to visit a therapist or coach in person.
- No
time wasted travelling

|
|
The
growth of high speed internet and the widespread availability of
new forms of high quality communication software and hardware has
mean't that it is becoming much easier and simpler
to receive therapy over the internet via webcam, making geographical
location much less of a issue.
With
a good webcam and high speed internet, we will both be able to see,
hear and interact with each other in real-time. The online experience
can be almost exactly the same as if you attend a
session with me in-person. Of all the services I offer, Psychotherapy,
NLP and Life Coaching are the most suitable for use online.
In fact coaching has traditionally taken place by telephone, and
is therefore lends itself well to use via online video.

How
does it work?
- Install
the free Skype software if you haven't got it already. Download
Skype here
-
Email me with a brief description of the problem you want
to work on. If it is something I can help you with, we can then
book the initial session.
- Book
an Initial Session. Sessions are always booked in advance,
so we need to arrange a mutually suitable date and time for the
first online therapy session to take place. You may book online,
by email or phone.
- Complete
the consultation form. I will send you a consultation form
which you will need to complete and email back to me before your
first session. For this I will need your Real
name and address, and contact phone number. All sessions
are completely confidential. I am a professional psychotherapist
and take confidentiality extremely seriously.
- Send
me your Skype ID. Once you've booked the first session and
set up the Skype software, email me your Skype ID so I can contact
you.
- Ensure
you have the latest version of the software, and your webcam,
headphones and microphone are installed and working correctly
before the start of the session. Remember you are paying for my
time as a therapist or coach, not for technical support.
- Payment.
Sessions must always be paid for in advance. You
may pay before each session by credit
card or PayPal or telephone me with your card details.
- Be
at your computer at the agreed start time and date with
the Skype software running.
- Very
importantly, ensure you will not be disturbed for the entire
duration of the session. Turn off phones, tell people not to disturb
you etc. This is your time, and it is very important that you
can be focused, open and honest with me. Any distractions or interruption
will negatively affect the session.
- I
will contact you via the Skype software a few minutes before
the agreed start time.
- At
the end of the session we will arrange the time and date for the
next session.

Types
of Online Therapy Available
This
practice can offer you NLP, Psychotherapy, Coaching and Hypnotherapy
from the comfort of your own home.
The
preferred method of delivery is video and audio based
using a webcam and the Skype software,
simply because we
can both hear and see each other as we work, letting
us interact more naturally, and allowing me to pick up subtle shifts
in your body language as we communicate.
The additional visual information allows me to work more effectively
with you.
The
next best method would be audio based using
Skype. This would be much the same as using a telephone. Download
Skype here
Please
be aware that
certain problems may not be suitable for treatment online, this
will be determined either before we start or during the initial
consultation. To
discuss your requirements and ways in which I can help you, just
.

'A
note to thank you for the work you did with me over the past weeks.
I feel much more focused, more care free and have a healthy amount
of realistic self belief. The last session in particular seemed
to clear something much more fundamental than the eating thing.
I
think you are a highly skilled and effective practitioner and I
count myself as lucky to have come across you. Thank you again.

'8yrs
of prescribed anti-depressants never even scratched the surface of
my condition. 4 sessions of NLP empowered me to be my 'true' self
and gave me the ability to handle situations which (previously) filled
me with anxiety due to low self esteem & a sub-zero confidence level.
My mind is finally a nice place to be thanks to NLP.'

'Nigel's
sessions, give a real insight into the powers of hypnotherapy and
NLP. His sessions are both friendly & relaxed and have helped
me greatly with confidence and agoraphobia problems, allowing me to
enjoy parts of my life I once feared. He teaches as well as heals
and helps you in self-hypnosis allowing you after your sessions to
help yourself.
If you have fears or phobias then his sessions are a must.'

'I
feel much better thank you. I really don't worry about blushing
as much as I used to and I do feel like I blush less and am just
generally less self conscious about it. Thanks for your time! '
